Under the cold winds of december of 1993 was created and impiuos horde under the name of ERESHKIGAL by a profane tirane baptized by darkness like Marganor Bestial Invocator .

In october of 1994, Samhain´s month, the band puts on sale a reh/demo entitled “Under the Black Forest”which was not well spread due to the bad sound and it´s not on sale anymore. In 1995 finally the horde enters in a studio to record some tracks, so the first studio recording was done, an split cassette with one man act VARGNOGK. ERESHKIGAL´s recording is entitled “Kur-un-gi-a” that is known as the land of no return that dwells under Absu and it´s Ganzir gates.

Under the fourth fullmoon of 96 the horde records an split cassette EP through BELLPHEGOT RECS. again, but now with a japanesse act called GORUGOTH; the recording of the horde is entitled “Black Dawn...(Forever Rising Moon)”. Facing the path that the horde was looking for and a big difference from the past recording “Kur-un-gi-a”, now the odes have become much evil and destructive .

The third recording of this unholy horde was called “A Dark Tale About Wisdom and Black Powers”, this time under the underground mexican label TOAJ RECS. The production was excellent and the response from the media underground was great!!!

Now the horde has unleashed their fourth opus under TOAJ RECS, a CD debut entitled “Tragedies of Death...The Afterlife”, definitely one of the most unpure and melodic form emerged from Mexico specially for the lovers of the Black Metal Art, dedicated to the ancient acts of sacrifice and places forgotten by mortals!!! Eight supreme hymns played in a special way with incredible harmonies and amazing parts in keyboards that marks a new age of evilness in this dying world.

The name of the band was taken from the summerian mithology, Assyrio-Babilonian culture and ERESHKIGAL is knowed like the goddess of thy abyss and the queen of death, also is called the star of lamentation, mistress of the netherworld, black tirane of Kur-un.gi-a, the land of no return, dominion of black souls and demons, creatures that dwell into darkness and abysmal winds.

The inspiration is taken of our evil thoughts, an obssession with the moon, the beauty of everlasting darkness and all the evil that dwells within.

The horde has played a lot of shows to promote their black art, some of them with IMMORTAL and GORGOROTH.

Now ERESHKIGAL is ready to record the second album under TOAJ RECS again.

ERESHKIGAL

Bajo los fríos vientos de diciembre de 1993 fue creada una horda impura con el nombre de ERESHKIGAL por un tirano profano bautizado por la oscuridad como Marganor Bestial Invocator.

En octubre de 1994, mes de Samhain, la banda puso a la venta un demo ensayo titulado “Under The Black Forest”, el cual no fue bien distribuido debido a su mal sonido, (este demo no estará disponible nunca más). En 1995, finalmente la horda entró a un estudio a grabar algunas canciones, así la grabación de estudio fue hecha, se trata de un cassette split con VARGNOGK. La grabación de ERESHKIGAL es titulada “Kur-un-gi-a”, que es conocida como la tierra del no retorno, ubicada en Absu y los pórticos de Ganzir.

Bajo la cuarta luna llena de 1996 la horda grabó un segundo cassette split otra vez con BELLPHEGOT RECS., pero ahora con un acto japonés llamado GORUGOTH. La grabación de la horda mexicana es titulada “Black Dawn...(Forever Rising Moon)”, encontrando la senda musical que la horda había estado buscando y mostrando una enorme diferencia de la pasada grabación “Kur-nu-gi-a”, ahora las odas han llegado a ser mucho más malvadas y destructivas.

La tercera grabación de esta horda profana fue llamada “A Dark Tale About Wisdom and Black Powers”, esta vez bajo la compañía mexicana subterránea TOAJ RECS. La producción fue excelente y la respuesta de la media underground fue enorme.

Ahora la horda ha desencadenado su cuarta obra bajo TOAJ RECS, un CD debut titulado “Tragedies of Death...The Afterlife”, definitivamente una de las formas más impuras y melódicas emergidas de México, especialmente para los amantes del Arte del Black Metal, dedicado a los actos antiguos de sacrificio y lugares olvidados por los mortales!!!!!!!! Ocho himnos supremos tocados en un estilo especial con harmonías increíbles y partes asombrosas en teclados que marcan una nueva época de maldad en este mundo moribundo.

El nombre de la banda fue tomado de la mitología sumeria y de la cultura asiro-babilónica y ERESHKIGAL es conocida como la diosa del abismo y la reina de la muerte; además es llamada la estrella de la lamentación, maestra del mundo subterráneo, tirana negra de Kur-nu-gi-a, la tierra del no retorno, dominio de almas oscuras y demonios, criaturas que habitan dentro de la negrura y los vientos abismales.

La inspiración es tomada de nuestros pensamientos malvados, una obsesión con la luna, la belleza de la oscuridad eterna y toda la maldad que habita dentro.

La horda ha tocado un gran número de shows para promover su arte negro, algunos de ellos con IMMORTAL y GORGOROTH.

Ahora ERESHKIGAL está listo para grabar su segundo álbum bajo TOAJ RECS. otra vez.
